Urban&Civic is pleased to announce the opening of its new hotel at Stansted which is being operated under the Hampton by Hilton brand. The opening represents the culmination of an 18 month design and build programme by developer and owner Urban&Civic.

The 357-room eight storey hotel is Hampton by Hilton’s largest property in Europe and joins 22 other Hampton by Hilton properties in the UK. The hotel offers guests services and amenities such as a free hot breakfast, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi, Work Zone with internet and printing facilities and a 24/7 fitness centre. Additionally the hotel offers two meeting rooms.

Directly connected to the terminal building, the development is part of Urban&Civic’s commitment to deliver high quality commercial and residential places and significant investment in the London – Stansted – Cambridge corridor. The investment sits alongside Urban&Civic’s substantial local footprint as Master Developer of three strategic housing led regeneration projects at Waterbeach Barracks, Alconbury Weald and St Neots delivering almost 15,000 homes, 14 schools and significant investment in transport and community infrastructure and place-making.

Robin Butler, Managing Director, said:

“The hotel is a strong addition to the Stansted skyline and further endorses the significant investment going in to Stansted Airport and supporting those growing ambitions. The quality of both design and materials should ensure that the building rapidly becomes recognised as a further statement of confidence for not just the airport but the wider region as a whole”
