Middlebeck sponsored the Newark Half Marathon for a third year in 2022 (with a short break during the pandemic, where the event was paused). Over 1,000 runners participated in the race on a very hot Sunday 14th August when temperatures reached over 33 degrees.
This year we decided to take a different approach and sponsor the mile markers placed along the route. We tried to to motivate runners and make the day memorable with our quirky catch phrases as well as update competitors about the the creation of the Southern Link Road. Colleagues were also invited to take part in the race for free to either raise money for charity or for their own personal benefit.
