Working on sunshine...and catching the breeze at Manydown

The Manydown team is putting sustainability and renewable energy at its heart from the start...

Working with partners who are aligned with our goals and share our objectives is key to making the biggest difference on our sites. At Manydown we are pleased to see Natta, who are delivering our first access junctions, embrace our vision by installing its latest in-house renewable energy system on site, allowing them to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels and generators during the early stage of the development.

The solar power cabins and vertical axis wind turbines gather energy throughout the day to power on site operations. Thirty-five PV panels feed the capacity batteries, which are held in cabins, which also have heating and cooling capabilities to optimise efficiency whatever the weather.

The system also allows them to store renewable energy, so they can use it when they need it and the smart SunSynk system allows them to measure the energy output. By maximising natural energy sources, we are significantly cutting our reliance on traditional power sources.

It’s great to be partnering with a company who share our commitment to sustainable housing development.

We’re proud to support Urban & Civic’s sustainability vision at Manydown by bringing our in-house renewable energy compound solution to site. Innovation and sustainability are core to how we operate, and this system shows what’s possible when you rethink temporary infrastructure with a long-term environmental mindset. It’s not just about reducing emissions, it’s about creating smarter, innovative ways of working from day one.
